Jack was born on May 7, 1935 in St. Anthony, IA, and he was the son of Fred and Stella (Clarkson) Neubauer.  He grew up in Eldora, Ames, Iowa Falls, and Alden.  He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at St. John Lutheran Church in Grant Township.  His father passed away when he was a freshman in highschool, so Jack went to work on their dairy farm at an early age.  He was married to Marlene (Marty) Heuton on August 14, 1955 at St. John Lutheran Church in Glidden by Pastor Gundel.  The couple lived in many locations with Jack’s career in construction before moving to Ralston in 1957 where they raised their seven children.  Jack enjoyed tractor rides, deer hunting, watching races, camping, woodworking, gardening, and spending time with family.  Jack had a big heart and always put others first.  He was always willing to lend a hand whenever he could and could fix most anything.

Jack is survived by four daughters: Kandy Fay (Pat) of Glidden; Tonya Bock (Steve) of Ames, IA, Rhonda Conner (Matt) of rural Glidden, and Robin Olberding (Jason) of Glidden; two sons: Dan Neubauer of Seattle, WA, and Lonnie Neubauer of Grimes, IA; fifteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; his brother Dick Neubauer (Linda) of Lineville, IA, two sisters: Betty Stinson of Iowa Falls, IA, and Pat Palmer of La Porte City, IA; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

Jack was preceded in death by his wife Marlene “Marty” Neubauer in January of 2021; his parents Fred and Stella Neubauer; his father and mother-in-law Walter and Hilda Heuton; and a daughter Lori Neubauer.
