The record setting AC/GC boys basketball season came to an end in Panora last week.

After a first round win against West Central Valley, the Chargers gad an opportunity to do something no AC/GC team has been able to do, beat Panorama twice in the same season. The Panthers came out of the gates strong and jumped out to a 12 point lead early in the first half. Just as Panorama looked like they were going to run away with the game, AC/GC went on a scoring flurry in the final minutes of the second half and took a one point lead into the break. The two teams went back and fourth over the next 16 minutes and AC/GC’s Miles Kading hit two three pointers in the final minute to force the game into overtime. AC/GC saw a handful of players foul out and couldn’t keep up in the end as Panorama ran away with the game 56-52.

The Chargers ended their season with a record setting 17 wins.
