The Dallas County Board of Supervisors approved moving forward with the Des Moines Area Community College wetland project at their regular meeting Tuesday. 

Following a discussion, final design plans are being made and the project will involve an  easement and future maintenance of the property. 

Also, the Board heard a secondary roads department update, set a public hearing for March 30th at  9:30 a.m. for the 5-year road construction program and they approved the maximum property tax dollars certified for levy for general and rural county services. General county services will be  $19,761,651 and rural county services will be $3,298,185 for fiscal year 2022. 

Finally, the Board approved the canvass of the Panorama Community School District special election. There were six votes for and one against, for the portion of the school district that is in Dallas County. Also, the Board set the time and date for the fiscal year 2022 county budget presentation at 7 p.m. March 30th and discussed proposed amendments to chapter 6A local option sales and services tax.
