On Friday, the state of Iowa released their football classes for the near future, and for Adel-Desoto-Minburn football, they will be staying in the 36 team 3A level.
The Tigers will be competing in district 6, a six team district that will include ADM, Atlantic, Creston, Harlan, Knoxville, and Saydel. It’s a district that features a lot of great programs, and will be tough but fun challenges for the Tigers, as they are expected to field a solid team for the 2021 season.
There will be sixteen playoff qualifiers from the six districts, with the top two automatically advancing to the playoffs and four at-large bids that are determined through the RPI.
They’re will be 9 regular season games total, with five district games and four non-district games.
The Tigers will have brand new district opponents compared to the 2020 season, as all of their opponents in their district last year are all at the 4A level.
It should be a good challenge of the Tigers, as they will have their complete 2021 schedule with dates and times coming out sometime during April.
