Dallas Center – Grimes girls basketball coach Adam Jones will be joining tonight’s Dallas County PM sports page. The Mustangs were able to put together a great season under the direction of Jones winning the Little Hawkeye Conference, winning their district, and then winning their first ever playoff game as well in route to a semifinal appearance at state.

We talk with coach Jones about the game against eventual state champion Ballard, his overall thoughts on the teams improvement, all conference and state selection, and the three member senior class as well. The Mustangs finished with a 21-3 record and were able to grab their first ever state tournament win. The Mustangs also will be returning a lot of their talent for next season, and should field another state ranked team and be one of the upper echelon teams in the Little Hawkeye Conference.
