The Guthrie Center School Board recently approved the 2021-22 school calendar.
The next school year will start on August 23rd, which is the earliest start date as mandated by the Iowa Legislature. The final day of school will be May 24th and spring break is slated for April 15th-19th. Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center Superintendent Dennis McClain talks about some of the changes made to next year’s calendar.
“One was our block scheduling at our high school, we’ll go to four parent-teacher conferences for the high school, one each quarter. Next year for any snow makeup days we will not take any of those during spring break.”
