A project in the City of Panora is close to completion.

City Administrator Lisa Grossman tells Raccoon Valley Radio following the 2019 floods, Lenon Mills Dam had some damage that needed to be repaired. Part of the damage was to some of the concrete casts and the City applied for funds through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

Grossman says the project was awarded to Richards Construction of Sac City for $119,000. The City also received a FEMA grant for $75,000, and the other 15-percent of the cost was fulfilled by the City and the last ten-percent came from the state. Work started on February 22nd and the completion date is March 31st.
