Greene County High School girls’ track & field senior Makala Kafer embraces her role as one of the seniors and a leader for the 2021 Rams. She told Raccoon Valley Radio she’s super excited to have a season after not having one in 2020 due to the pandemic. Kafer added she thinks the team has a good mix of younger and older girls and she’s ready and willing to help her teammates.
“I always want the younger girls to come to me with things and I always want them to look at me in a positive aspect and as someone who will cheer them on . I plan to cheer them on all season and help them be the best runners and whatever I can help them be in track.”
The Rams are scheduled to open the outdoor season one week from today on March 29 in Jefferson at Linduska Field for the Greene County Coed Early Bird Meet.
