The Stuart City Council will hold a public hearing on proposed amendments to the city’s urban renewal area at a special meeting tonight. 

Also, the Council will consider declaring necessity and establish an urban renewal area, receive a White Pole Road project and cultural center updates, set a time and date for a public hearing on a Community Development Block Grant for rescue unit equipment, approving cemetery mowing bids, and set a public hearing time and date  on a proposed ordinance amendment establishing a franchise fee under the city’s gasworks utility franchise with Midamerican Energy Company and adopt a revenue purpose statement. 

The Council will meet at 5:30 p.m. tonight in the Council Chambers. The meeting will be held in-person and remotely. Information to access the meeting remotely can be found below.
