This week West Central Valley Athletic Director and Boys Golf coach David Doley gave some insight into the 2021 season. Doley will have 10 golfers for this season. Which is a good size for a golf team. The Wildcats will have six golfers on varsity this season.
The team will be filled with “young faces” according to Doley. The team lost a few seniors that could’ve played last year. Doley hopes that the underclassmen will find a passion to the game and play for the Wildcats in the future.
Despite missing the season last year, Doley is confident in his team. Unlike other sports, the players that are dedicated to the sport could still practice during pandemic. That was mostly due to the courses not being closed.
The boys will tee off Thurday April 1st in a Triangular against Clarke and Knoxville.
