Assistance will soon be available for those who have had COVID-19 related funeral expenses that occurred after January 20th, 2020. 

The Federal Emergency Management Agency will begin taking applications in April and some of the requirements include the death must have occurred in the United States, including the U.S. territories and the District of Columbia, and the death certificate must indicate the death was attributed to COVID-19. 

For those who are eligible to receive funds they will be transmitted via check in the mail or direct deposit depending on which option is chosen during the application process.
