Very few high school coaches across Iowa have held their position longer than Adel-DeSoto-Minburn head boys soccer coach Bill Shields. Shields overtook the ADM boys soccer program in the spring of 1988 and this year marks his 32nd season leading the Tigers on the pitch. Shield’s tenure has included several winning seasons and several trips to the state tournament as well during his tenure.
His teams traditionally are ones that are highly skilled offensively, tough defensively, and usually are well conditioned so that they are not tired at the end of the game. They also win a lot of games and have produced a lot of great players through the program throughout the years.
ADM will be having a scrimmage against Des Moines Christian on Tuesday, March 30th and then will have their first meet until April 5th at home against Perry.
