During this week’s Guthrie County PM Sports Page, West Central Valley Athletic Director David Doley answered some questions about spring sports for 2021. Specifically Doley was asked about COVID-19’s impact on this season.

Doley was asked about how he felt heading into the spring season. Doley responded by saying, “Yeah, it’ll be nice to have a springs sports season. Obviously with last year being canceled.”

The Wildcats, like every other school, worked with varying COVID protocols during the fall and winter seasons. Eventually the Wildcats would allow all spectators in at the end of the basketball season.

It’s still encouraged for spectators to sociall distance or wear a mask. However, with more and more Iowans having access to the COVID-19 vaccine, there is hope that West Central Valley can allow all spectators in to enjoy this year’s season.
