Tuesday, March 30th

7:56am: A Traffic Stop at Grimmell and Mahlon resulted in Sara Miller of Rockwell City being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

9:51am: Bomgaars reported a returned check on a Closed Account at 205 West McKinley Street. The check was for $3710.31 worth of merchandise. The officer is investigating.

1:53pm: Larry Teeples reported finding a bag full of quarters at the Jefferson Car Wash at 902 North Vine Street. The business owner is watching video to attempt to identify the person who left the money behind.

2:10pm: An officer spotted a wanted female in a vehicle and performed a Traffic Stop at Elm and Greenewood Road. During the stop the officer learned the female driver and a male passenger had an active No Contact in effect between each other. The officer arrested Tanisha Kathleen Rice, 45 of Jamacia and Jason William Sheldahl, 49 of Scranton for, “Violation of a No Contact Order – Simple.”

7:40pm: HyVee reported finding a small baggy of suspected marijuana outside on the sidewalk at 106 West Washington Street. The officer took possession of the substance for disposal.

10:13pm: A caller advised of two vehicles full of juveniles parked at 101 Ram Drive and they believed they were smoking marijuana. The officer located two empty vehicles at the location, but did not see or smell anything suspicious.
