The Perry School Board rescinded a bid acceptance and contract award at a special meeting Monday.
The Board rescinded its prior approval for the bid and award of the contract for the middle school renovation project to Henkel Construction. Due to legal reasons, Perry Superintendent Clark Wicks said he made the recommendation to rescind and rebid the project.
Wicks says the new timeline for the project includes a new bid opening at 2 p.m. April 19th. Wicks told Raccoon Valley Radio they are still looking to move forward with the asbestos removal and getting the middle school ready to transition over to the high school.
