8:30 am the Greene County Sheriff’s Office conducted a search warrant at 1819 6th Street, Perry. The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office, Perry Police Department, and the Iowa State Fire Marshalls Office assisted. Stolen property, drug paraphernalia, controlled substances, and a suspected improvised explosive device were seized. Charges are pending lab results.

10:41 pm while conducting the arrest of the intoxicated driver another vehicle passed by the deputies and Joshua Morgera a passenger in the second vehicle yelled obscenities at the deputies and through a beer at the deputies. The vehicle was stopped near Grand Junction. Joshua Morgera 23 of Papillion, Nebraska was arrested for assault on persons in certain occupations and throwing litter on the highway.

The estimated damage to the truck was around 1,000 dollars and the light pole had to be replaced at a estimated cost of 800 dollars. Robert was cited for failure to maintain control and failure to provide proof of financial liability.

9:40 pm a deputy investigated a suspicious person in the 1000 block of East Main Street, Grand Junction.

11:09 pm a deputy investigated a criminal mischief complaint in the 300 block of Lovejoy Street, Rippey.

11:57 pm a deputy investigated a two-vehicle accident on West Vest Street and Elm Street. A 17-year-old female was operating a 2018 Ford Focus and struck a parked car. The parked 2005 Chevrolet Impala had an estimated 4,000 dollars. The Ford Focus had an estimated 5,000 dollars damage.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
