The Dallas County Health Department announced Monday that it is opening up vaccine eligibility to all those who are 16 years and older.

While the vaccines are now available to a larger group the health department says that does not guarantee instant availability as the demand will be higher than the supply. The health department encourages people to get a vaccine as it becomes available to them.

The Pfizer vaccine is authorized for those who are 16 years of age or older and the Moderna and Johnson and Johnson vaccines are authorized for those who are 18 years of age or older.
