As the weather gets warmer and vegetation begins to grow again, it’s time to brush up on local ordinances.
For the City of Perry the ordinance for grass and weeds in residential areas should not surpass eight inches, business and industrial areas should not surpass eight inches and agriculture areas should not surpass fifteen inches.
For this grass, weeds and brush that exceed those limits will be considered to be in violation of this ordinance. Any property within Perry that exceeds those limits on the first and third Wednesday’s of the months of May, June, July, August, September and October will be mowed by the City of Perry and charged a fee. If the fee isn’t paid the cost will be assessed to the property.
