An 18-hole boys’ golf tournament and separate track & field meets for the Greene County teams are on the docket for today.

Coach Heath Telleen’s golfing Rams play at Jester Park’s course with Des Moines Christian the host school. The Rams haven’t played this week and this is the only action until next week on the schedule.

Coach Chad Morton’s track & field boys go to Saydel High School in Des Moines. In all, 13 boys’ teams are scheduled to take part. Coach Derek Merk’s track & field girls head east to LeGrand and a meet hosted by the East Marshall Mustangs.

Performances from meets today count toward qualifying for the April 22 Drake Relays in Des Moines. The Drake qualifying lists for high school athletes are expected tomorrow. The Rams are in contention for a minimum of four boys’ events at Drake, while the girls will need to improve performances in order to have any events qualify, although they have a chance at getting three or four events in.
