Jefferson and surrounding residents are encouraged to donate specific items to help those in need.
The Midwest Mission Distribution Center (MMDC) trailer will be at the First United Methodist Church in Jefferson tomorrow from 9am-noon. MMDC is a ministry organization that shares practical ways of God’s love through education, health, micro-business and disaster relief supplies to people around the world.
Needed items at this time include new baby onesies, toothpaste, cloth masks, laundry and dish soap, household liquid cleaner, new bath hand towels and washcloths, new cloth diapers, basic colored pencils and rulers. They will also accept medical equipment such as: walkers, crutches, and braces; along with bicycles and sewing machines. Organizer Danille Curtis says there is an onsite sewing machine and bicycle repair shop, so they can fix those types of items if they are not in working condition.
