
Greene County has another busy high school sports day scheduled with boys’ golf, boys’ track & field, and both girls and boys soccer on the docket for today and tonight.
Coach Heath Telleen’s boys’ golfers go to a meet hosted by Saydel (Des Moines) at Woodland Hills Golf Course. The Rams lost to Webster City on Tuesday and will be trying to improve. Starting time is 4:15 p.m.
Coach Chad Morton’s boys’ track & field squad is coming off winning the Woodward-Granger Hawks Relays on Tuesday. They go to the Norsemen Relays in Story City today at 4:30 p.m. hosted by Roland-Story.
Coach Carl Behne’s boys’ soccer team lost at home on Tuesday to Winterset and that snapped a five match winning streak. The Rams are tied for ninth in the Class 1A ratings and take a 6-3 record to Carroll to face Kuemper Catholic at Kuemper’s Fieldhouse with varsity playing at 5:30 p.m. and JV to follow.
Coach Peyton Paddock and the Greene County girls’ soccer team is 0-7, but came close to victories the last two times out in 2-1 losses to both Humboldt and Logan-Magnolia. The Rams go to Des Moines today for a 4:30 p.m. varsity match with Grandview Christian.
