The Cram the Cab event to raise money and food for local area food pantries will kick off next week in Perry. 

There will be a tractor in the Perry Fareway parking lot waiting for the cab to be filled with food donations from the community. The event will run from May 3rd-10th in partnership with Perry Fareway, Dallas County Farm Bureau and Perry Van Wall. 

Dallas County Farm Bureau Outreach Coordinator Janet Hick says there will be multiple ways to donate by either doing a direct food drop off, monetary donations and rounding your grocery total up to the nearest dollar to help those in need in the community. 

“It really makes people aware of how much of a need there is to help out not only our community but all of Dallas County.”

During the event on May 8th Raccoon Valley Radio’ Big Red Radio will be live on location with members with Dallas County Farm Bureau. Shirts will be available for $10 with proceeds going to local food pantries in Dallas County.
