
Friday, April 30th
8:14am: The Sheriff, deputies, and Jefferson Fire Department responded to a two- vehicle accident on N Avenue and 330th Street. Anthony Hohne 29 of Bagley was driving a 2017 Nissan Rogue South on 330 th Street. Dennis Pittman 68 of Jamaica was driving a Case Sprayer East on 330th Street and did not see Anthony. The Case Sprayer hit the Nissan in the passenger side totaling the Nissan. The damage to the tractor was minimal. Nobody was injured in the accident. The airbags for the car did deploy. Dennis was cited for failure to yield right of way.
8:51am: A deputy investigated an abandoned vehicle in the 1700 block of 150th Street.
11:45am: A deputy investigated an abandoned vehicle in the 800 block of V Avenue.
2:25pm: Russell Gardner 46 of Panora was booked into the jail for criminal mischief 2nd degree, harassment 1st degree, and driving while barred.
8:39pm: A assisted the Jefferson Police Department with a traffic stop in the 700 block of Wild Rose Lane. Jamie Solt 32 of Fort Dodge was arrested for operating while under the influence 1st Offense.
9:59pm: A deputy investigated an alarm in the 1000 block of East Sandoe Street, Grand Junction.
11:21pm: A deputy investigated a noise complaint in the 600 block of School Street, Churdan.
11:35pm: Jamie Solt 32 of Fort Dodge was booked into the jail for operating while under the influence 1st offense.
11:56pm: A deputy investigated a single vehicle accident on E Avenue near 237th Street. Stefanie Coil 37 of Jefferson struck a raccoon and then left the scene.
Saturday, May 1st
6:58am: A deputy investigated a harassment complaint in the 1400 block of U Avenue.
2:15pm: A deputy and the Jefferson Fire Department responded to a grass fire in the 1600 block of L Avenue.
3:24pm: Melissa Hefler 46 of Ogden was booked into the jail for gambling- false claim of winnings.
4:00pm: Christopher Hefler 46 of Ogden was booked into the jail for gambling- false claim of winnings.
5:33pm: A deputy investigated a driving complaint on 220th Street near U Avenue.
5:36pm: A deputy investigated a complaint of underage drinking at the 7 Hills Park.
7:43pm: A deputy investigated an erratic driver on 230th Street near U Avenue.
9:52pm: A deputy investigated a driving complaint on 220th Street near X Avenue.
10:21pm: A deputy attempted to stop a motor cycle traveling at 105 mph on 220 th Street near U Avenue. The motorcycle was stopped on 220th Street and Highway 169 in Boone County. A male juvenile was the operator of the motorcycle. The driver was charged with Eluding and speeding 105 in a 55-mph zone.
11:15pm: A deputy investigated a fire in the 300 block of Irving Street, Scranton. The fire was a burn pit.
Sunday, May 2nd
12:33am: A deputy assisted the Jefferson Police Department with a suspicious person in the Hy-Vee parking lot. Timothy Sullivan 43 of Jefferson was arrested for interference with official acts and public intoxication.
1:05am: A deputy assisted a motorist on 220th Street near Kirkwood Avenue.
6:18am: Timothy Sullivan 43 of Jefferson was booked into the jail for public intoxication and interference with official acts.
8:45pm: A deputy investigated a car deer accident on U Avenue near 170th Street. Megan Fouch 36 of Jefferson struck a deer with a 2019 Ford Expedition causing an estimated 5,000 dollars damage.
10:34pm: A deputy assisted the Jefferson Police Department with an assault in the 300 block of East Lincoln Way.
In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
