
Friday, April 30th
5:20am: Emily Hays came to the LEC and spoke to an officer about obtaining assistance with a Motel Room for the day. The officer reached out to local clergy to assist.
2:14pm: Leesa Squib requested an officer at 106 West Washington for a Civil Dispute between a father and son. The officer assisted in mediating the issue between parties.
2:31pm: Michelle Guzman requested an officer at 107 Lincoln Place for a dispute with a neighbor. The officer spoke to all parties involved and both sides were advised of the others neighborhood complaints on driving issues.
8:01pm: A Traffic Stop at Elm and Clarks Streets resulted in Angela Popp of Grand Junction being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”
8:39pm: A Traffic Stop near 220th and Elm resulted in an OWI Arrest. The officer is not Certified and requested assistance from a deputy to perform Standardized Field Sobriety Testing on a female. The deputy arrested the subject. The officer issued Jamie Lynn Solt of Fort Dodge a citation for, “Open Container-Driver.”
11:38pm: Alysha Dehote reported numerous “Violations of a Protective Order.” The officer is investigating.
Saturday, May 1st
2:34pm: A caller advised of a subject burning in the high winds at 705 West Sunset Road. The officer spoke to the subject and he put the fire out.
5:45pm: A Traffic Stop at 220th and Mulberry resulted in Christine Klocke of Carroll being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”
6:40pm: Tickcha James reported a Careless Driver on North Cedar Street. The officer did not locate the reported vehicle.
10:34pm: An officer located two subjects walking on the road near 220th and Elm Streets. They advised they were walking home. The officer transported the subjects home, as they were walking in dark clothing.
Sunday, May 2nd
12:30am: Subjects delivered a road sign to an officer they had located on the ground near North Grimmell Road and Wall Streets. The officer will deliver the sign to the Streets Dept. to put it back up.
12:33am: While on patrol, an officer located a male subject standing near the door to HyVee. The store was closed at the time and the officer attempted to speak to the male. The male began walking away and would not stop and speak to the officer. The officer requested assistance from deputies as the subject continued to walk northbound and would not speak to the officer. The officer and deputies caught up to the male subject near Locust and Reed Streets and approached the male again. The male became aggressive towards a deputy and the deputy deployed his Taser on the subject. Timothy Dale Sullivan, 42 of Jefferson was charged by the officer for, “Public Intoxication – Simple and Interference with Official Acts- Simple.”
11:03am: Alicia Sloan captured a Stray Dog in the 1000 Block of Westwood Drive. The officer placed the dog in the Animal Holding Facility.
1:20pm: An officer assisted a motorist with mechanical issues on 220th Street, just east of the city limits.
7:44pm: David Trammell reported his juvenile daughter was at a friend’s residence. She was instructed to be home at 1700 hours, but did not arrive. David began calling friends and family and learned the daughter had gone to Des Moines with the friend and her parents. He was concerned and called for an officer. The officer made contact with the parents of the friend and requested they return with the daughter. He advised she had not asked her parents for permission to leave town. She was brought home.
8:36pm: Carroll County requested an officer to locate a subject in Jefferson in reference to their vehicle sitting on the side of the highway in Carroll County for several days. The officer located the subject and advised him to contact the Carroll deputy about the vehicle.
9:25pm: Gail Pike called and spoke to an officer. She requested the officer to contact a Jefferson male and advise him he is no longer welcome at her residence. The officer did so.
10:34pm: Krystal Dzuris requested an officer at 305 East Lincoln Way Street for a dispute with neighbors. The officer worked with the parties to resolve the issue.
