DCG boys and girls track and field will be competing today in their state qualifying meet in Carlisle, as the Mustangs will be looking for success with a trip to Des Moines on the line.  The Mustangs will be taking on Carlisle, Bondurant-Farrar, Ballard, Adel-Desoto-Minburn, Saydel, Boone, and Winterset. The event will be taking place in what is expected to be a big crowd, and should field some of the best athletes from the entire state in the event.

Both of the Mustangs teams have been able to put together some great marks this year, as both teams have been able to get some high teams finishes that have been buoyed by big time performances from key athletes. The Mustangs will need to be at their best today if they want to compete at the state level next week.

Both of the meets will be beginning at 4 o’clock this afternoon as DCG will be looking to send some athletes to state next week.
