The Rotary Club of Jefferson is continuing a tradition of allowing young people to visit an iconic structure this year.
The Rotary Club is sponsoring free youth admission to anyone 18 and younger to visit the Mahanay Memorial Carillon Tower for the 2021 season. The local non-profit organization is celebrating their 100th anniversary and the group is dedicated to supporting youth and other local projects in the community.
The sponsorship supports the Bell Tower Community Foundation’s vision which encourages all children to have the opportunity to hear the story of the gift of the bell tower, to see the entire county from the Paul Nally Observation Deck. The bell tower was also awarded the Iowa Tourism Rural 2021 Outstanding Attraction. The bell tower is open Saturdays and Sundays in May from 10am-4pm. Adult admissions are $3.
