Raccoon River Pet Rescue is holding a donation drive this weekend for supplies needed to take care of their furry friends at the shelter.

Starting this weekend until May 18th people can go out to Perry Hy-Vee for the “Fill Roxy’s Cart Event”. Those participating will be able to pick up pre-selected items at the checkout counter. 

These supplies include things like dog treats, dog toys, catnip and paper towels, among other things. You can pick as many items as you’d like to donate with your own purchase and then place them in the donation basket in the store. 

Raccoon River Pet Rescue staff will be on hand on this Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to noon, weather permitting, in a tent outside Hy-Vee to answer questions and share photos of some of the pets that have been adopted.
