U.S. Congresswoman Cindy Axne
As the pandemic continues to subside, more federal legislation aims to help people recover, including the restaurant industry.
U.S. Representative for Iowa’s Third District Cindy Axne says the Restaurant Revitalization Fund will assist restaurants in Iowa that have been affected by the coronavirus pandemic. Axne says it will support a wide array of businesses including restaurants, microbreweries among other things.
“Our Iowa restaurants have been some of the hardest hit businesses during COVID-19 and it has been an uphill battle for them to even still safely reopen.”
The program will provide funding equal to their pandemic-related revenue loss up to $10 million per business and no more than $5 million per location. Axne encourages restaurants to apply.
“This is exciting. Please have folks apply through the Small Business Administration Office in Iowa or call our office because we have got to help these restaurants.”
