The Dallas County Board of Supervisors gave support to seeking a generator replacement for the Human Services Campus at their regular meeting Tuesday.
Dallas County Emergency Management Coordinator A.J. Seely gave a presentation to the Board about replacing the current generator that is 150 kilowatts with a 250 kilowatt generator. The County would pay for roughly $40,000 of the estimated $133,000 cost.
The rest of the cost would be covered by a grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency, as well as the State of Iowa. The estimated time to replace the generator would be early next year.
Finally, the Board approved the abatement of real estate taxes for multiple parcels of land and approved a fiscal year 2021 budget amendment number two.
