WCV Boys Soccer are on their way to the Substate Championship against Greene County tonight at 7pm.

The Wildcats are in the championship after their big win on Monday. WCV played Des Moines Christian after a 2-0 win over PCM. The Wildcats made the trip to Urbandale to battle the Lions for a chance at the Substate Championship. WCV and Des Moines Christian had a defensive struggle that took the game to Overtime tied 0-0. Senior Collin Mumford was the hero in Overtime scoring the lone goal of the game. Freshman Goalie Nate Gerling had yet another solid performance giving him his 11th shutout of the season. He also recorded seven saves.

WCV will now have to shift focus on Greene County to take home the Substate Championship. The game will be taking place at Des Moines Christian in Urbandale. The game will be broadcasted live on True Country KG989, raccoonvalleyradio.com, and the KRGA app with kickoff starting at 7pm.
