Dallas Center – Grimes boys soccer is continuing to get ready for the upcoming state tournament next week, with the boys to take on Waverly – Shell Rock in the first round. This is the third straight year that the Mustangs have been able to make it to the tournament, and are hoping to advance deep in the eight team event.

The Mustangs come in with a 16-4 record and are currently in a midst of a nine game winning streak. They have outscored opponents 39-6 during this stretch, as they have been able to really showed toughness on the defensive end while being very creative on the offensive end.

DCG was able to take out the Gilbert Tigers 3-0 in their substate victory, exacting revenge after losing to the Tigers in the state tournament in 2019. DCG comes into the state tournament as the 2 seed while Waverly – Shell Rock will enter as the 7 seed.
