As we come closer to the official start date of summertime, there are plenty of opportunities for camping in Dallas County. 

Dallas County Conservation Board Outreach Coordinator Sarah Gilchrist says the county parks include places for primitive, RV, and tent camping, along with cabins for people to rent. 

“For any level of get away that you might want. If your idea of camping is a nice hotel, we kinda have that for you but if your idea of camping is you want to be out there with the bugs and nature and be totally unplugged we’ve got that as well, and pretty much everything in between.”

Gilchrist tells Raccoon Valley Radio for those who may be interested in using any of the camping facilities, you can schedule reservations online and find more information on the facilities.
