DCG boys soccer will be participating in their state semifinal today for 2A action. Dallas Center – Grimes  was able to put together a nice performance in their 1-0 victory over Waverly – Shell Rock on Tuesday, but now will have a tougher test against the Bluejays of Bondurant-Farrar. Both of these teams come in with premier records, with the two teams coming in with marks of 17-3.

Bondurant-Farrar comes in as the three seed in the tournament and put together a dominant second half, scoring four times as the Bluejays won with ease against Sergeant Bluff – Luton 4-1.

It could be a matchup of strengths has the Bluejays have tallied 101 goals in the year while DCG has only given up 60, though both sides are extremely well rounded though both have differing styles of play.

These two teams haven’t faced off against each other since 2013, so there is not a lot of knowns between the two sides, which means figuring out tendencies could take time for both sides throughout the match.
