Heart of Iowa Activities Conference baseball was broadcast last night on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com when PCM (Monroe) visited Greene County at Allensworth Field in Jefferson. The Mustangs won the game by a final of 5-0 to improve to 3-1 overall and 3-0 in the league while the Rams fell to 0-4 and 0-3. Greene County has been shut out in all three conference games.
Beau Webb tossed a complete game with six strikeouts. He gave up four singles with two by Blake Hammen, and one each from Joe Carey and Peyton Kinsey.
Carey took the pitching loss after going the first four innings. He gave up the five PCM runs, but only one was earned. Carey struck out six and relieved by Kole Teeples who tossed three scoreless innings. The Rams were charged with four errors.
Greene County plays at State Center Friday night vs. West Marshall.
