The Greene County Medical Center Foundation Golf Outing is tomorrow.

The event starts with check-ins at 9am at the Jefferson Community Golf Course and the shotgun start for the four-person scramble will be at 10am. Foundation Director Nancy Houska tells Raccoon Valley Radio there are 64 teams signed up with 20 sponsors supporting this year’s golf tournament fundraiser. Houska points out the proceeds from tomorrow’s fundraiser goes back to the Foundation in support of the medical center.

“Our funds support patient-centered services and programs or equipment, construction or capital projects, and then it also supports our healthcare scholarships for local high school seniors who are pursuing a medical career. So the funds really help support the medical center’s vision of: ‘Always here, always caring.’”

After the golf outing is finished, there will be an evening meal served at the clubhouse, where sponsors will be recognized, along with winners and contest winners from the golf tournament will also be announced.
