
Greene County won a 13-3 non-conference high school baseball game in Perry over the Blue Jays on Friday night. The game went all seven innings and Coach Matt Paulsen’s Rams improved to 5-12 after their third straight victory. Perry fell to 0-18.
Senior Peyton Kinsey was the winning pitcher after going 5-1/3 innings. He allowed no hits, but he walked five and hit one batter. Both runs were unearned. Senior Alex Roberts gave up two hits and one earned run. Roberts also one batter and hit another. The Rams committed four errors while Perry had two errors.
Junior Kole Teeples went four of five at the plate with four singles and four runs batted in. Junior Blake Hammen had three singles and one RBI and junior Bryce Stalder singled, doubled and drove in a run. Juniors Joe Carey and Max Riley, along with freshman Jack Hansen, each singled. Riley had a run batted in, as did senior Cameren Miller, who knocked in a run with a SAC fly.
