The Representative for Iowa’s Third Congressional District Cindy Axne recently announced federal grants, and some of those funds will come to Dallas County. 

Axne announced more than $24 million in federal grants that will go toward funding runway reconstruction projects, with the Perry Municipal Airport receiving a $2,202,567 Department of Transportation grant. 

The Perry Airport will use that funding to help pay for the fourth phase of construction and the extension of  a 4,000 foot runway. The grant is also partially funded by the American Rescue Plan with Perry receiving $220,256 of federal funds.
