9:39am: A caller advised of a dog running loose in the 500 Block of South Olive Street. The officer was able to secure the animal back in its fenced area and is working to speak to the owner.

6:52pm: Boone County requested officers to check a residence in the 500 Block of South Elm Street for a female who is wanted out of their county. The officers did not locate the female in Jefferson.

8:57pm: Spencer Kirk reported a Careless Driver on 235th Street, heading west towards Jefferson. The officers did not locate the reported vehicle.

******** Lab results came back positive on items removed during the execution of a Search Warrant on a vehicle in the Impound Lot on 04/21/2021. The officer has requested Arrest Warrants for Derek Eugene Ott, 39 of Fort Dodge. The warrants are for, “Possession of Controlled Substance/marijuana – Serious, Possession of Controlled Substance/meth – Serious, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Simple.”

******** An officer has finished an investigation that began on 06/06/2021, at 106 West Washington Street. It was reported that underage persons had an adult purchase alcohol for them at the business and deliver it to them in the parking lot. The officer has sent Juvenile Charges to the court for (1) 14-year-old male and (2) juvenile females, ages 15 and 17 for, “Possession of Alcohol Under Legal Age.”
