The Greene County softball season ended earlier this week with a 6-16 record after the Rams dropped a Class 3A Region 4 first round game in Des Moines vs. Saydel. We look today at some of the final offensive statistics from the recently completed season.

Coach Tom Kennedy’s team batted .262 collectively with four home runs, 17 doubles, and two triples. The Rams averaged 4.3 runs per game while allowing 6.9 per contest. The defense allowed 1-2/3 unearned runs each game.

Leading the team in batting average was sophomore Emma Stream at .356 with one home run, six doubles and 11 runs batted in. Sophomore Emma Hoyle hit .333 with two homers, four doubles and 20 RBI. Sophomore Olivia Shannon batted .317 and sophomore Alexa Peters batted .306. Shannon and Peters were both slap-hitters from the left side. Hoyle had the top on-base percentage at .441 and Hoyle’s slugging percentage of .509 and Streams’ .508 were nearly identical. Shannon led the Rams in runs scored with 18 and Peters was next with 13.
