A reminder that today several events are happening with the Greene County Historical Society.

There is an open house at the historical museum from 9am-noon today. The public is encouraged to stop into the building that houses close to 99-percent of the exhibits that feature donated items that relate to Greene County. The newest display is that of the 1950s-70s, which recently opened. Cinnamon rolls will also be served.

Today at the Greene County Fair, the historical society will be hosting two History Chats. The first program is at 11am as historical society members Chuck Offenburger and Jerry Roberts will discuss the 1950s-70s exhibit at the museum, followed by a 1pm program on What the Historical Society Should Do at the Fair.” Both events will take place at the historical society building on the north side of the fairgrounds. Additionally, the one-room school house is also open today from 10am-6pm.

All activities are free and open to the public.
