U.S. Congresswoman Cindy Axne
Iowa’s Third Congressional District Representative Cindy Axne recently announced funding for multiple projects in Iowa, including one in Dallas County.
The Perry Municipal Airport recently received approximately $2.2 million through a Department of Transportation grant to help fund the fourth phase of construction as well as shifting 4,000 feet of runway. Axne explains how this project will benefit Perry.
“It will help get planes up and down safer, keep people safer on the ground as well. We need this support, this is a really good example of why things like these grants for our smaller towns are so important. Perry can directly benefit economically as a result of this.”
The grant program also included $220,256 in American Rescue Plan funding as well. Axne says grant programs such as these are exciting to see money going to Iowa communities and improving infrastructure.
