There’s not much left of the 2021 high school baseball season for the Greene County Rams. Coach Matt Paulsen’s team hopes the season goes beyond this week, which will require a sizable upset. the regular season ends tomorrow in Jefferson when the Rams host Hawkeye 10 Conference member Atlantic. The varsity game from Allensworth Field will be broadcast on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com. Game time is set for Tuesday around 7:30 p.m.

The postseason begins at 7 p.m. Friday when the Rams travel to Gilbert to face the Tigers in the opening round of Class 3A Substate 8 baseball. The Rams enter the week with eight wins and 14 losses after winning 6-4 at Carroll High on Friday night. Gilbert won the Raccoon River Activities Conference title and is the top seed in Substate 8.
