For those wanting to nominate someone to be honored as the Panora Citizen of the Year, the time to do so is running out. 

The deadline to submit forms for the award is closing fast as all nominations must be mailed to the Panora Chamber of Commerce at PO Box 73, Panora, IA 50216 by July 16th. The winner will be announced at Panorama Days on August 7th. 

The Panora Chamber has been recognizing one outstanding member of Panora or the Lake Panorama community since 1989 with the only year someone wasn’t recognized being last year due to the pandemic. 

The criteria to be considered for the award includes being a citizen of Panora or Lake Panorama, being nominated in writing and signed by the nominator, not being a winner in the previous ten years and having performed any service for the betterment of Panora that the nominator deems worthy.
