An artist visit is happening later this month at the Mary J. Barnett Memorial Library in Guthrie Center. 

Buck Jones is an artist from Des Moines. This event will be open to the public at the library July 28th at 1pm. Library Director Pat Sleister says  Jones is also an educator and will put on a program for the children. Sleister gives some information on what the artist will be doing with the kids. 

“I think he may allow them to do some drawing, I am not entirely sure on what he is going to do but we have to provide tables to draw.”

The event will include a fun drawing, turning in a bookmark log, ice cream social and prizes handed out to winners.
