The Jefferson Police Department recently released its information from the most recent special enforcement program.

During the special Traffic Enforcement Program (sTEP) Wave with the Governor’s Traffic Safety Bureau, from July 2nd-7th, officers issued 25 warnings and six citations. The most citations were for three for speeding. Other citations included two for driving without a license and one for no proof of registration. The most warnings were issued for speed with 14.

The Jefferson Police Department works in conjunction with the Governor’s Traffic Safety Bureau to participate in the periodic sTEP Wave programs.
