There’s still time to sign up a team for this year’s Jefferson Matters: A Main Street and Chamber Community Golf Tournament.
The event will take place this Friday at the Jefferson Community Golf Course, with check-ins at 9am and the shotgun start is at 10. Co-organizer Jill Morton says there are a variety of games for golfers to enjoy, including a hole-in-one contest at one of the Par 3 holes.
“New Way Auto have been so gracious, they will have a vehicle there and the prize, actually will be an $18,000 value toward any vehicle at New Way Auto. So that’s going to be pretty fun.”
Entry fee is $300 for a four-person team, which includes cart rentals and lunch. Morton points out there are a few sponsorships remaining as well. Prizes will be awarded to the top three places, along with a prize for the last place team. Contact the Welcome Center at 515-386-2155 to sign up.
