Jeff Lamberti of Ankeny, one of the Iowa Barnstormers owners and the President of the team, spoke at the Rotary Club of Jefferson meeting yesterday. The Barnstormers are a member of the Indoor Football League. They are 4-4 with four games of the regular season left, including a home game this Saturday, July 24 inside Wells Fargo Arena with the Green Bay Blizzard at 7:05 p.m.

Lamberti said having a fun time and seeing great athletes are two very good reasons to make the drive to Des Moines to watch a game. “It’s about the funnest sport you’re ever going to see. We like to say it’s like a party that happens to include a football game. But beyond that, the game itself is very fast and quick moving with tremendous young athletes, and it’s just a great family entertainment. That’s really what we market it to, is to families. I guarantee you if you bring your family to a game, they’re going to thank you!”
