For those looking for a sweet treat to escape the heat this weekend, a church in Adel will have an event. 

The Panther Creek Church of the Brethren in Adel will be hosting an ice cream social tomorrow beginning at 6:30 p.m.. Attendees are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs and join in the event. 

The event will feature a free-will offering that will be in support of regular youth programming and registration, and travel expenses for the 2022 National Youth Conference.
