A reminder that today kicks-off a two-day event in Jefferson where people can experience what farming was like in the early 19th century.

The Old-Fashioned Threshing Bee is a historic farm reenactment that is taking place today and tomorrow at Pleasant Prairie Farm/Foster Farms in Jefferson. There will be threshing oats demonstrations today at 10am and 2pm, along with tomorrow at 1pm. Additionally, there will be a steam plowing demonstration at 4pm. 

Attendees can also enjoy an antique tractor and truck show on the grounds both days and there will be a tractor ride at 7am tomorrow morning. Anyone who owns a tractor can participate in the ride. The event is free and open to the public. Pleasant Prairie Farm is located at 1176 M Avenue in Jefferson.
