Today is the main day for the 125th Annual Adair County Fair.

The day starts with the dairy goat show at 8 a.m., followed by the cattle show at 8:30 a.m.. Next is the rabbits and guinea pigs and the horse show at 9 a.m. There are three events that will start at 10 a.m. and last all day, which are the TOBY kids scrolling, quilt show and hands on the farm activities. Also the baby contest at 10 a.m. 

The pedal pull show will start at 11:30 a.m., then at noon is the cat show and the youth council is sponsoring a water baseball game, along with  a slip n slide for the bases. The fair scavenger hunt will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., along with Share the Fun exhibits, which are skits, sing songs or show off talents by the 4-H’ers. . 

Tonight’s grandstand entertainment is a tribute band with songs from  George Strait, Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings. 

Tickets to get into the fair for ages 13 and up are ten dollars and for ages 12 and younger is five dollars. Also people can purchase advance admission for $40 for 5 tickets. All admission tickets will cover the grandstand events for that day. As a reminder, Raccoon Valley Radio’s Big Red Radio will continue to broadcast live each day of the fair through Sunday.
